With only months left in Hajj, which is the Muslims' annual pilgrimmage, the Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has announced the opening of applications for seasonal jobs related to the upcoming holy month, the Gulf News reported.
The ministry has rolled out an application window on its website through which interested individuals can apply until Ramadan 18 (March 28).
According to the ministry, these seasonal jobs that will be located in Makkah, Madinah and Jeddah will offer various roles for Hajj pilgrimage facilitation.
These job openings include roles for supervisors, customer service representatives, mechanical technicians, engineers, and drivers, ensuring smoother pilgrimage.
The ministry has set the eligibility criteria which states that Saudi nationals with a high school diploma or higher, possessing necessary physical and health abilities, and having a valid driving license for private, heavy or motorcycle vehicles can apply for these jobs.
In addition, candidates must pass a personal interview and be between the ages of 22 and 45.
According to Gulf News, candidates with prior Hajj and Umrah-related work experience and fluency n languages spoken by pilgrims, such as Uzbek, Persian, Chinese, or Malay are preferred by the ministry.
The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has emphasised that the application will not be accepted after Ramadan 18 in Saudi Arabia.
