Zoe Saldana announces return of 'Gordita Chronicles' on OTT platforms

Zoe Saldana just announced the release of her 2022 series, Gordita Chronicles, on different OTT platforms.

The Avatar actress took to her official Instagram account to upload a poster of the hit comedy drama.

“Cinestar’s own GORDITA CHRONICLES is back! So proud to have produced this series about a fierce gordita dominicanita who doesn’t let anyone keep her down!” the caption of her post read.

Naming the OTT platforms on which the audience can watch the series produced by three Saldana sisters, namely, Zoe, Mariel and Cisely, she wrote, “Stream @tubi @hulu @disneyplus.”

This news comes shortly after Deadline broke the news of Tubi acquiring the rights to the series on March 26, and unveiled that the show would be available to watch from March 29, 2024, almost two years after HBO Max took Gordita Chronicles down.

Gordita Chronicles is a comedy series, which has only one season until now. The show aired for the first time, on June 23, 2022 and is a ten episode long series produced in English as well as Spanish language.

It narrates the story of Cucu Castelli. She is a reporter who addresses herself as a willful and reluctant “Gordita” which translates into “Chubby girl.”
