Whoopi Goldberg said she was extremely overweight but the use of a weight loss drug, the host said, helped her surprisingly well.

Speaking to Page Six, the broadcast commentator said, “I was 300 pounds,” adding she opted for Mounjaro to shed weight. “I was like, ‘Oh, please, God, make this work.'”

Fortunately, the 68-year-old said the Type 2 Diabetes drug worked and helped her "metabolism move" and was "the only way (doctors) could jumpstart (her) system" from post-back surgery steroids.

Before the interview with the outlet, Whoopi opened up about her weight on her show The View.

"One of the things that's helped me the drop the weight is Mounjaro, that's what I use," she said.

However, Whoopi doubled down on her views of body positivity. "My weight has gone and come and gone and up and down, but it's never been an issue for me."

"Because I don’t listen to what other people say about me, so it has never been a problem."
