Following the tragic death of Chance Perdomo, the production for Gen V second season has been officially delayed.
Chance Perdomo, who is known for his superhero series, passed away due to a motorcycle accident which reportedly occurred on Friday, March 29.
As reported by Deadline, the cast and producers of Gen V, which is a superhero series by Amazon Prime Video, were scheduled to gather for the shows' first Season 2 table read on Saturday afternoon.
According to the outlet, after Perdomo's tragic death, the creators of Gen V have been asked to decide whether to rewrite the screenplay to bid farewell to Perdomo's character or find a replacement actor for the role.
The Gen V is a spin-off to The Boys in which Perdomo played the role of super-powered Andre Anderson with co actors Jaz Sinclair, Lizze Broadway, Maddie Phillips, London Thor, Asa Germann and Shelley Conn.
The producer of Gen V released a statement on Saturday March 30 and it says, “We can't quite wrap our heads around this”.
The statement also continued on to say, “For those of us who knew him and worked with him, Chance was always charming and smiling, an enthusiastic force of nature, an incredibly talented performer, and more than anything else, just a very kind, lovely person. We are so sorry for Chance's family, and we are grieving the loss of our friend and colleague.”
For those unversed, Perdomo made debut in the short film Longfield Drive as Rodell in 2016 and continued to star on different TV shows including Midsomer Murders and Chilling Adventures of Sabrina.
