Jerrod Carmichael reflects on 'unrequited love'

Jerrod Carmichael recently revealed one of his ‘stupid’ moves. 

The show host reportedly developed feelings for his friend, Tyler, the Creator and how it did not work out.

Spilling the beans on HBO’s Jerrod Carmichael Reality Show, Jerrod confessed, "I fell in love with my best friend.”

“One out of 10, don't recommend," he added.

Recalling the time when he told Tyler about his feelings, the Poor Things alum revealed that he responded, "Ha ha ha, you stupid (expletive)!" leaving his feelings "totally unrequited."

He also recalled another instance from 2022, when he acknowledged that his move was "stupid idea."

"We can't even make eye contact for longer than two seconds, but you want to spend an evening together?" he quoted what the rapper told him at that time.

He even mentioned that, during a sit-down, Tyler asked Jerrod why the distance between them was growing.

In response, the star simply admitted, "Because I told you I had feelings for you,” noting “and we didn't talk about it, ever," to which Tyler took a nod confirming that he "brushed it off" and tried to avoid the topic.
