Alan Ritchson reveals horrifying experience of being 'sexually assaulted' in Hollywood

Alan Ritchson revealed how he hung himself in hopes of ending his life after he was sexually abused early in his career. 

The 41-year-old actor talked about his bumpy ride to success with The Hollywood Reporter revealing that he was often "sexually abused" when he worked as a model.

Speaking with the publication, the actor recalled that he was booked for a nude shoot with a "very famous photographer” with the promise of a "lucrative campaign afterwards."

Ritchson said the industry is like "legalized s** trafficking" before revealing that he was "sexually assaulted" by his photographer. 

The Reacher actor said he left the business following the tragic incident before adding that it was the last photoshoot he did and those pictures were "never published."

“That was it. I swore it off and thank God acting found me at the exact time. So I was able to switch to a new career, but it left some scars”, he added.

Despite a change in career, Ritchson was met with another horrifying experience as he struck a partnership with a person for film fund, who later threatened him to “come to her room or she would destroy the business” with a fabricated sexual assault claim.

“I was super depressed”, he admitted before revealing that he attempted suicide shortly after, “I hung myself”.

Fortunately, he didn’t go through with it, attributing it to his three sons that he shares with wife, Catherine Ritchson.
