Disney has recently shared another sneak peek into the most anticipated sequel of the animated movie Moana which was released in 2016.
In the newly released picture by Disney, Moana can be seen in her slightly older version giving a sly smile, and holding her paddle while sailing a boat surrounded by water.
Auli'i Cravalho is the voice behind Moana, while Dwayne Johnson, Rachel House, and Jemaine Clement voiced supporting characters.
David G. Derrick Jr. is going to write and helm the sequel but worked as a story artist in the original film.
The composers from the original song are returning for the second sequel along with Abigail Barlow and Emily Bear joining as newcomers
According to Disney’s first announcement, "Moana is on an expansive journey in search of people beyond the shores of Motunui."
It further says, "Joined by Maui and a brand-new crew of unlikely seafarers, Moana must journey to the far seas of Oceania and into dangerous, long-lost waters for an adventure unlike anything she’s ever faced."
Moana was 16 years old in the first film, in which she went on a journey to find Maui to restore the heart of Te Fiti, this would make her around 19 or 20 in the upcoming sequel.
In February, Disney announced that they are gearing up to release Moana 2 in November 2024.
