Leonardo DiCaprio pens birthday wish for 'great friend' Jane Goodall

Leonardo DiCaprio wished his good friend, Jane Goodall, an English primatologist and anthropologist, a happy birthday.

The Titanic star, took to his official Instagram account to pen a heartfelt note to Goodall.

“Today, my great friend Dr. Jane Goodall celebrates her 90th birthday,” DiCaprio captioned his post that he uploaded on March 3, 2024.

Honouring her contributions, the note continued, “Dr. Goodall is known for groundbreaking studies of wild Chimpanzees in Gombe Stream National Park, Tanzania, which forever changed our understanding of our relationship to the rest of the animal kingdom.”

The 49-year-old also introduced his followers the organization, Jane Goodall Institute, which she runs, aiming to advance “community-led conservation, animal welfare, science, and youth empowerment through Jane’s Roots & Shoots program.”

“Happy birthday Jane and thank you for spreading hope and continuing to make meaningful positive impacts for the planet we share,” the caption concluded.

Leonardo DiCaprio himself is an environmental enthusiast who strives to make the world a better place.

He established the Leonardo DiCaprio Foundation to support 35 different innovative projects that protect the Earth’s ecosystem as well as endangered species.
