Andrew Scott enraged Fleabag fans as he reminisced about his time in the fan-favourite show.

The Irish actor looked back on his beloved character of a clergyman The Priest as the finale episode of the beloved sitcom will mark its 5th anniversary on April 8.

Speaking to Entertainment Weekly he addressed fans who are still obsessed with the bittersweet ending as he stated, “Go out and get some fresh air”, with a laugh.

"Stop watching. Stop crying. Stop crying in your room with your curtains closed. Do something better with your life”, the 47-year-old actor continued.

Although admitting the success of the show, he further added, “It's a great show, we all love it, but come on now, pull yourself together. Open the curtains and go outside."

The BAFTA Award winner was introduced in the second season of the hit series as a cleric, who was instantly renamed to Hot Priest by the dramedy’s fans and was struck in a forbidden romance with Phoebe Waller-Bridge’s character.

Despite fans hoping for a happy ending, the series ended in 2019 on a tragic note and had fans reeling over it ever since.

However, Scott’s recent comment has sparked an outrage among fans as they turned to Twitter to express their disappointment over his 'rude’ comments.
