Colt Ford, the country star suffered a heart attack after his concert in Gilbert, Arizona.
On Thursday, April 4, the 53-year-old singer just had finished his performance at Dierks Bentley’s Whiskey Row in Gilbert, Arizona when he was rushed to a hospital following a medical emergency.
Ford was taken to Banner Desert Medical Center’s ICU and shifted to the Mayo Clinic in Scottsdale, as reported by local NBC affiliate 12 News.
Ford’s condition was “stable but critical,” one of the Ford representatives told 12 News.
According to a video received by TMZ, Ford looked fine at the time of his two-and-a-half-hour performance and exited the stage in seemingly good health before the heart attack occurred.
One of the concert attendees told 12 News, “The only thing I’d say is toward the end he kind of looked tired,” the fan continued on to say, “But, I mean, he went 110% and he was all over the stage and interacting with the crowd.”
The attendee added that when they were leaving the place they heard sirens, “When we’re walking to the car, you could just hear all the sirens. And then when we heard about it, it was like, ‘Oh man, I hope he’s OK.’”
Over the past year, Ford has gone through many health issues, in 2021 he revealed to the People that he had undergone surgery for eye cancer.
After beating cancer Ford was diagnosed with an autoimmune disease known as Myasthenia Gravis in 2023.
While giving an interview to Taste of Country in May 2023, Ford shared, “Last year I got diagnosed with an autoimmune disease called Myasthenia Gravis.”
He added, “It’s been tough. The last year quite honestly got really hard for me. It’s a disease and there’s no cure for this.”
