Olivia Rodrigo receives praise from THIS athlete

Olivia Rodrigo and her music just received praise from the former American baseball shortstop, Alex Rodriguez.

In an exclusive conversation with PEOPLE magazine, the former New York Yankees player, recalled how he became a fan of Rodrigo and her music, after he took his daughter to watch the Traitor hit-maker perform last month.

"That was really cool. We had a great time," Rodriguez said of the show, he attended with his 15-year-old daughter, Ella.

"I was surrounded by 20,000 teenagers screaming very, very loud, but Ella had the time of her life," he added.

Praising the bad idea right? crooner, he continued, "She (Ella) got to meet Olivia after, and she was so nice to my daughter. She was so humble, so connected, and it's definitely a day that we won't forget for a long time."

"I do now. She's a force, and she's so nice and so humble — and she killed it," Alex Rodriguez stated, praising Olivia Rodrigo as he now considers himself as one of the singer’s fans.
