People in the state of Missouri have been tirelessly waiting for the Total Solar Eclipse, like other people in the continent, which will plunge millions of North Americans into the dark, starting from Mexico’s Pacific coast.

In this rare event, the Sun will be completely blocked by the Moon, which will eventually cast its shadow over the Earth.

The Solar Eclipse 2024 will commence in St Louis, Missouri at around 12:42pm, as not all areas of the state fall under the path of totality. St Louis will see partial the Solar Eclipse.

The duration of the event depends on the area as the longest is 4 minutes 28 seconds. Red Bud, Illinois, will see a Total Solar Eclipse for about a minute. In Perryville, Missouri, it is expected that the totality can be observed for around three minutes and 45 seconds.

Areas in Missouri that are in the path of totality such as the southeast portion of the state near Cape Girardeau will see a Total Eclipse at around 1:58pm.

According to reports, the moon will completely cross the path of the Sun 3:17pm.

The overall event will last over two and a half hours.
