DALLAS: The public and schoolchildren in Texas, United States, were lucky enough to witness the Total Solar Eclipse directly on Monday at the Cotton Bowl Stadium with the support of local organisations.

On this occasion, arrangements were made since morning to make the live viewing an unforgettable moment for the viewers.

A variety of organisations set up booths and entertained the visitors with songs about space, stars, and planets.

The students who attended the occasion said that they will always remember this historical moment where they witnessed a solar eclipse that will not occur again until 2044.

"About today, I think it's something really cool," a 14-year-old viewer told Geo.tv as she prepared for her first time witnessing the celestial event. "I don't think we're ever going to get to see this again."

Several speakers expressed their views on space, science, and weather.

At 11:07am, as soon as the moon began to pass between the sun and the Earth, the day slowly turned to night and soon the entire atmosphere became dark.

The school children celebrated the moment with cheers.

It must be noted that people in the western Europe, the US, Canada, and Mexico experienced this solar eclipse in real time, as other regions of the planet were covered in complete darkness.

Among the viewers were several Muslims who offered prayers as the celestial phenomenon occured.

The viewers claimed that they enjoyed this moment to the fullest and this scene was a memorable moment of their lives.
