Zendaya's costar heaps praise on her 'sister'

Zendaya’s on-screen big sister Storm Reid opened up about her inspiration and admits still being a ‘fan’ of the star.

Talking about the Dune actress, the 20-year-old actress revealed that she’s still a fan of hers, despite playing her sister in the HBO’s acclaimed teen drama.

“I still have to sometimes try to not fangirl when I’m around her”, A Wrinkle in Time actress said before admitting that she’s her ‘biggest inspiration’.

“I think she’s just so incredibly talented”, added Storm.

The Emmy Award winner also revealed that she had known Zendaya, long before portraying Georgia ‘Gia’ Bennet, opposite the Oakland, California-born actress’ Rue Bennett.

She disclosed meeting Zendaya at the age of nine, at a local ice cream and frozen yoghurt store and awkwardly asking for a selfie- a decade later, the duo shared the screen.

Storm also hinted at her close bond with the actress and revealed that she’s her go-to person for advice, she explained, “I always go to her for advice. She's always just super honest, super blunt, in the most loving, gentle way.”

“But she's still gonna tell you how she feels. And I love that because I am a very blunt, straightforward person.”

“Just cut around all of the extra fluff and, you know, get straight to the point”, said the Atlanta, Georgia native.
