Candace Cameron Bure candidly gave her reaction to the bombshell docu-series by Investigation Discovery Quiet on Set: The Dark Side of Kids TV.

Speaking in the latest episode of ABC’s chat show The View, Candace who portrayed Donna Jo Margaret ‘D.J.’ Tanner-Fuller in the 1987 Full House and its sequel series Fuller House 2016, admitted to watching the first few episodes of the series.

“I watched the first few episodes of it. It absolutely tore me apart. It broke my heart”, the American actress admitted before dubbing the revelations, “tragic, horrific and disgusting.”

The mother of three also praised Drake Bell, calling him ‘brave’ for coming out with his abusive story and added, “I just felt like the fact that Drake was able to share his story was so brave. But my heart breaks for him.”

“My heart broke for his parents, trying to protect him and not always seeing the signs”, she added upon which the host of the show Joy Behar suggested that maybe “parents need to be around”, to which she agreed upon.

Labelling growing up in the industry as ‘weird’, the 48-year-old admitted to never experiencing such an environment but acknowledging the situations others faced.

“I didn't have that experience. I know the other girls from our show didn't have that experience, and there's lots of child actors who don't have that experience. But we know there's a good plenty that have”, she noted.

Nonetheless, Candace also recognized the importance of this docuseries implying that this would spread awareness and help “protect the next generation” before signing off.
