Kate Hudson seemingly does not care about social media criticism.
Recently, the acting sensation posted a video in which she revealed that once her older brother shared with her that he fears to express himself freely on social media since “things get picked up negatively.”
She then admitted that at first, she “was like, 'Who cares?' And then" she "really started thinking about it," adding, "I'm like, people do care, actually."
The 44-year-old actress also addressed that "it's not nice when people take something out of context, or they look at something you're doing and they get all negative about it and they poke at it and they scrutinize it and they criticize it."
Advising on how to deal with naysayers online, she furnished that as a celebrity, "you kind of have to get used to it because people can be so mean."
"Then you kinda realize that a lot of those people don't really exist. Like, you go, 'Wow, who's this person being so mean to me on here?'” the Almost Famous actress mentioned.
“And then you go on there and they have zero followers and they have zero posts, and you're like, 'Oh, s***, it's a [fake account].' It's either a troll or it's someone that doesn't even exist. Or someone's actually legitimately trying to make you feel or look bad," she added.
Before moving to another topic, Kate spilled the beans that her best strategy to deal with such people is to turn a deaf ear to their comments.
"When you really break that down" the "amount of energy it takes for someone to s*** on someone else is not only exhausting, but not even worth giving any attention to," she concluded the topic.
