Kelly Clarkson’s ex husband Brandon Blackstock has finally replied to her lawsuit claiming that he owes her millions.
Back in November, 2023, a California labor commissioner ruled that Brandon, who acted as Kelly’s manager from 2017 to 2020, owes the singer around $2.6 million in past commissions for “overstepping his legal limits.
Later, Kelly claimed that her husband of seven years owes her much more money than that.
The Since You’ve Been Gone hitmaker took to a Los Angeles court where she stated that Brandon has been violating state rules since 2007, the same year she entered into an oral agreement with his father Narvel Blackstock’s company Starstruck Management.
In a new dismissal lawsuit, Brandon and Starstruck Management have denied “each and every allegation,” according to PEOPLE.
The filing asked for Kelly’s lawsuit to be thrown out because the November 2023 ruling “is binding on her.”'
Brandon and his counsel also alleged that she failed to “file a notice of appeal within 10 days” of that ruling and further argued that Kelly’s filing does not fall within the right jurisdiction to submit another lawsuit.
