Steven Spielberg is ready to revisit the fictional world as he gears up to narrate another story about an alien invasion.

After the success of his 1977 flick Close Encounters of the Third Kind, the legendary director has decided to revisit the genre with a fresh new take, according to Variety.

Although the name of the movie and the plot still remain unknown, it is speculated that The Color Purple director will be joining hands with veteran screenwriter David Koepp, with whom he collaborated for the blockbuster 1993 Jurassic Park.

Speculatively produced by his studio Amblin and partner Frank Marshal, the director of this mystery movie is not confirmed, but the reunion of the Oscar nodded writer and director is sure to stir anticipation among moviegoers.

Nonetheless, while the 77-year-old director is no stranger to cinematic aliens, with films like E.T. to his credit, he recently shifted his focus from fiction towards his personal family drama The Fabelmans, centered around a young man’s dream to become a filmmaker.
