Iain Armitage strolled down memory lane and recalled his 8-year-old self filming Young Sheldon on first day of shoot.
The young actor took to Instagram to post a detailed homage to his hit series and reflected on his first day on the set of the show back in 2017.
He posted a throwback picture of himself from the very first scene while holding a briefcase with caption, “This is 8 yr old me getting ready to film the very first scene I did as Young Sheldon."
Iain added, “@melissapeterman recently asked what I would go back and tell my younger self.
The actor continued on to pen, “Maybe I wouldn’t tell him anything and I would just let life unfold as it does, but I think he’d be so surprised and happy to see where we are now. I sure am.”
"I don’t think this kid could have anticipated what it would feel like to film our final scene all these years later.
"Thank you, amazing crew, past and present, and those who have been there the whole time. I love you all so much!" he concluded the caption.
The 15-year-old star also shared a glimpse from the set of the show after his final day of filming.
"End of the day, driving [off] the lot for the last day of filming @youngsheldoncbs -- I've loved it here at Warner Brothers," he wrote.
Young Sheldon is a spin-off prequel to the American sitcom The Big Bang Theory and follows the main character Sheldon Cooper's story growing up with his family and attending high school in Texas.
