A UK-based consultancy Skytrax released a list of the world’s best airports Wednesday in Frankfurt after conducting reviews and analysing customer feedback regarding the different airfields across the globe.
The crown for the best this time goes to Qatar's Hamad International Airport once again after 2022.
According to CNN, the airport is topped for its ultra-modern design, easy-to-navigate terminals and high-end shopping.
CEO of Qatar Airways Group said in a statement: "This year, [Hamad International Airport] celebrates its milestone tenth year of operations and we are truly honoured that passengers have voted us Best Airport in the World for a third time."
In 2023 and 2020, Singapore’s Changi Airport was at the top while Doha’s (DOH) stood tall in 2022 and 2021.
The airport offers free city tours for passengers having long stays. It is also one place that provides spa services and a swimming pool in its Oryx Airport Hotel.
Among 20 airports, nine are from European cities such as Vienna, Madrid and Istanbul.
Seven Asian airports were also in the top 20 with two of them in Japan’s Tokyo.
The Skytrax evaluated a total of 570 airports around the world and in North America, Vancouver International Airport (YVR) was the best.
Melbourne Airport (MEL) stood high in the Australia-Pacific region, whereas Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport was named in India.
El Dorado International Airport (BOG) has been named the best in South America, while Panama Tocumen Airport (PTY) secured the honour of best for Latin America and the Caribbean.
