An erstwhile aide of the Former US president Donald Trump, Michael Cohen claimed Wednesday that Melania Trump is extremely excited about the ex-president not going to be at Barron Trump’s graduation ceremony as the 18-year-old is set to complete school in Palm Beach, Florida.
Cohen shed light on Donald Trump’s unsubstantial claims that the court barred him from attending Barron Trump passing out ceremony from college Tuesday.
"So before I start shedding a tear for him, for Baron and I’m sure Melania is extremely excited he’s not going to be there," Cohen said while speaking on the MeidasTouch "Political Beatdown" podcast, adding that "rest assured … I’m not losing any sleep, nor am I going to shed a tear that Trump can’t go to Barron’s graduation."
Former president Trump is facing criminal charges after the indictment last year in a hush money case with his trial entering the third day on Thursday.
"I find it not just comical, right, but I find it insulting that that’s the big issue," Cohen recalled that when he was jailed for three years, he had to miss major life events.
The Republican presumptive nominee Trump criticised Judge Juan Merchan that he might not allow him to attend his son Barron’s high school graduation in May.
The judge, however, has not denied him permission to attend the important occasion as to skip the trial, one has to take special permission from the presiding judge under the New York state law.
The former lawyer of Trump said he will not feel sorry for him if he misses Barron’s graduation.
“I missed …. my 25th anniversary and my wife’s 50th birthday because I was in Otisville in part because of things that I had done at the direction of and for the benefit of Donald Trump,” he said.
