Jason Momoa and Emilia Clarke reportedly developed a close bond working on the sets of HBO’s Game of Thrones.

As fans will know, the primary love interest of Daenerys Targaryen, portrayed by Emilia Clarke, Jason Momao starred as the sturdy Dothraki horse lord Khal Drogo in the blockbuster series based on the series of epic fantasy novels A Song of Ice and Fire by American author George R. R. Martin.

In a resurfaced interview, Jason weighed in on his complex character and told show hosts on Armchair Expert With Dax Shepard podcast, “Embodying Drogo and his persona was crucial.”

Touching on his discomfort towards his character's actions regarding Emilia's character in the series, Momoa stated, “You’re trying to illustrate a character similar to Genghis Khan,” before claiming, “that’s who the character is.”

He went on to address, “But it’s not something I plan on reproducing.”

During the chat with the same outlet, Emilia also observed about Jason, “Jason was extremely kind and thoughtful and cared about my well-being,” after which she proceeded to discuss another topic.
