Zendaya receives praise from Serena Williams on movie 'Challengers'

Zendaya and her performance in the film, Challengers, has won the heart of Serena Williams.

In an exclusive conversation with ET, the 27-year-old actress revealed that the tennis superstar, has seen her latest performance portraying the tennis player-turned-coach, Tashi Duncan.

She explained how Williams loved Zendaya’s work, saying, "She was like, 'I know there definitely weren't real [tennis] balls. She knows. She's the best of the best."

"She did say that it was great considering that I had never, never touched a tennis ball before," the Spider-man star added.

Zendaya has also previously told the outlet the she was "very nervous about her (Serena) seeing my tennis skills," apologizing "in advance" to Serena and her sister Venus.

The actress also has had a fun interaction with Venus, on social media earlier in the week after she found out the sportswomen was attending the movie premiere of the movie, Challengers.

As Zendaya was interviewed by a reporter who informed the actress that Venus was present at the event, her eyes and mouth opened wide in shock as Zendaya quipped, “I’m about to find her.”
