Sydney Sweeney responds subtly to Carol Baum's criticism

Sydney Sweeney didn’t sit back after critic Carol Baum’s brazen remarks about her acting career.

The 26-year-old actress took to her Instagram account and shared pictures from her Mexican getaway.

In one of the snaps, Sydney can be seen relaxing in a loose gray sweatshirt which read, “Sorry for having great t***.”

Her picture in the NSFW outfit comes after Carol spoke with New York Times film critic Janet Maslin and said, “I don't get Sydney Sweeney. I was watching Sydney Sweeney's movie because I wanted to watch it. I wanted to know who she is and why everybody's talking about her.”

Labeling Sydney’s hit romcom Anyone But You “unwatchable,” Carol shared that she asked her students at the USC School of Cinematic Arts about their opinion.

After her criticism made headlines, a rep for Sydney expressed their disappointment with Carol’s comments.

The statement stated, "How sad that a woman in the position to share her expertise and experience chooses instead to attack another woman."

“If that’s what she’s learned in her decades in the industry and feels is appropriate to teach to her students, that’s shameful. To unjustly disparage a fellow female producer speaks volumes about Ms. Baum’s character," they further added.
