Zendaya just reacted to an impromptu legacy that every Spider-Man franchise lead actress has been carrying out.
On the latest episode of Good Morning America, Zendaya made an appearance along side her Challengers movie co-stars, Josh O’Connor and Mike Faist.
The co-host of the program, Robin Roberts, showed the Euphoria actress a meme that acknowledged the fact that every woman leads of the live-action Spider-man films has later gone on to portray a tennis sportswoman.
Reacting to the meme, Zendaya responded, "I have seen this. I don’t know! We were joking, I was like, maybe it’s just some prophecy that I need to fulfill."
"It’s quite funny, isn’t that? I don’t know. I guess it worked out for all of them," she added.
Zendaya, who stars as a tennis coach in her 2024 movie, Challengers, succeeded Kirsten Dunst and Emma Stone as the protagonist, Peter Parker's main love interest in the Spider-Man films.
Dunst played the character of Mary Jane Watson in the three Spider-Man installments of the 2000s, while Stone, portrayed Gwen Stacy in the 2012 and 2014 movies of the same franchise.
