Fact

Iran's embassy in Pakistan has refuted the online claims of Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi meeting with Pakistan’s former prime minister Imran Khan, who has been incarcerated in a prison in Rawalpindi, Punjab, since August.

"Embassy of Iran disclaims such misinformation,” a senior official at the embassy told Geo Fact Check over the phone, who asked not to be named. “All the meetings and calls [in Pakistan] were scheduled with the official leaders and authorities of the country.”

Separately, Geo Fact Check could find no news reports or any other evidence to support the claims that the Iranian president met Khan during the latter’s visit from April 22-24.
