Melissa McCarthy gives a positive turn to Barbra Streisand comment

Melissa McCarthy just expressed her excitement over Barbra Streisand’s latest comment, giving it a positive turn.

In a now-deleted Instagram comment, the 82-year-old asked McCarthy if she was on the weight loss drug, Ozempic on April 30.

The Genie star however uploaded a video via her official Instagram account to clarify that she took no offense to Streisand’s comment.

McCarthy recorded a rather fun video as she read a copy of Barbra: Celebrating an Icon, while wearing the same floral dress she sported to the Unfrosted premiere in Los Angeles.

As she lowered the magazine, McCarthy told her followers, “The takeaway, Barbra Streisand knows I exist. She reached out to me and she thought I looked good!”

“I win the day,” McCarthy quipped as she raised the magazine back up in front of her face.

She captioned the fun video, “@barbrastreisand fan club members only!!!”

Barbra Streisand’s now-deleted comment in question was posted on a photo McCarthy shared of herself alongside director Adam Shankman as they attended the Center Theatre Group's CTG The Gala event on April 28.
