'SNL' announced Sabrina Carpenter, Vampire Weekend as the musical guests for upcoming shows in May

Saturday Night Live (SNL) has announced its lineup for two upcoming episodes.

Maya Rudolph is slated to host on May 11 show, with the Vampire Weekend as musical guest, meanwhile, Jake Gyllenhaal will be hosting following week, on May 18, with Sabrina Carpenter set to perform.

Rudolph, the cast member on SNL from 2000 to 2007, returns to host for her third time after previously hosting, 2012 and 2021, with musical guests Sleigh Bells and Jack Harlow, respectively.

The Good Place actress is currently in the spotlight with her role in the Loot, meanwhile, Vampire Weekend, the musical guest for the May 11 episode, is on tour promoting their fifth album, Only God Was Above Us.

This appearance will mark their fourth performance on the SNL stage.

However, Sabrina Carpenter will be making her SNL debut as a musical guest. This comes after her recent achievement of her first Billboard Top 10 hit with single Espresso.
