Deadpool and Wolverine is the most-anticipated film this year. Its director, Shawn Levy, said the film took a 360-degree turn after Hugh Jackman's entry.
Sharing the story, the filmmaker said he was in talks with Ryan Reynolds to mull ideas for the third installment.
But, he says, a phone call from the Australian actor shifted the plans of the movie into a new direction.
"Everything changed radically on the day that Hugh called Ryan," he told EW. "We had been workshopping a lot of ideas about possible stories for a third Deadpool movie."
Adding, "Those were story ideas that were more sequelly to the first two Deadpools, but None of them imagined such a seismic shift. I can safely say that the story completely changed and, in fact, came to us very, very quickly starting that day."
Not to mention, Hugh similarly shared a friendly bond with Shawn as the duo worked on a multiple projects including, Real Steel, Night at the Museum: Secret of the Tomb, and Free Guy.
