LAHORE: Tehreek Minhaj-ul-Quran leader Dr Tahir ul Qadri said Tuesday that the Federal and Punjab governments along with President Asif Ali Zardari would be to blame if there was a possible mishap during the long march.
After meeting with the Majlis Wadatul Muslimeen (MWM) which announced its decision to join the long march, Qadri said the establishment, US and Britain had made it clear that they were not backing him. Tahirul ul Qadri added that a decision had been made to place him and 200 other leaders under house arrest but this measure would only lead to chaos.
Earlier the Tehreek Minhaj ul-Quran announced the schedule for the long march. Tahirul Qadri will depart from his residence on January 13 at 9:00 AM and his caravan will travel to Islamabad via GT Road. Tahirul Qadri will hold his first address in Muridke which will be followed by addresses in Gujranwala, Wazirabad, Gujrat, Jhelum and several other cities.
According to the spokesman for the Tehreek Minhaj-ul-Quran, the leadership of the MQM will also be part of the caravan.
