DALLAS: Pakistani community in Texas protest and have staged a sit-in at Pakistani Consulate in Houston over Quetta tragedy in which over 100 people were killed and more than 200 wounded by bomb explosions.

Protester also demonstrated in the streets of Houston and Dallas. A big number of women and children also participated in it.

Protesters in Houston have staged a sit-in protest outside the Pakistani Consulate. After 09 hours sit-in protest the leaders announced to protest, meanwhile, Pakistani Console general, Muhammad Aqail Nadeem met the protester and said President Asif Ali Zardari has signed the summary regarding imposition of Governor's rule in Balachistan.

Talking to protestors, Nadeem expressed hope that as an executive of the province, Governor Zulfiqar Ali Magsi would take all necessary steps to hold those behind the Quetta bombings accountable.

While the protest in Dallas is taking outside the Holocaust Museum at down town Dallas, the protesters have demanded Pakistan Army to take control of the province and provide the protection to the vulnerable community.

The Dallas protest were organized by, Anjuman Ghulaman Hur, Momin Center, Dary Hussain, Elam Center, Aqa Center which is led by Marghob Hussain, Dr Tajamul, Ali Rizvi, Kamran Jafrri, and others, members of civil society and Pakistani political party local leader also join this protest.

Muslim Democratic Caucus USA President Syed Fayyaz Hassan, APML Dallas women wing President Dr Tasneem Agha, PTI local leader Farooq Sheakih, Salman Abdi Karkuram Thinker Foram President Siraj Butt, South Asia Democracy watch Directors Muzaffer Kashmiri, Raja Zahid Khanzada and other also join the protest.
