KARACHI: Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) founder leader, Altaf Hussain, Tuesday morning telephoned Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf to discuss the situation that arose after the Tehrik Minhaj-ul-Quran leader Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri’s ultimatum to government, Geo News reported.
Earlier, Qadri calling for revolution in Pakistan gave the government an ultimatum to dissolve parliament and make way for a caretaker administration, whipping up a mass protest rally in Islamabad.
MQM leader during the telephonic meeting urged the prime minister to resolve the issue at hand with a reconciliatory approach, sources told Geo News.
Altaf Hussain also appealed to Dr Qardri not to lose his patience and exhibit restraint, sources added.
