PESHAWAR: Unknown assailants killed an Afghan prayer leader by spraying a volley of bullets in Banda Shiekh Ismail, Akbarpura area, police said on Wednesday.
Abdul Malik, an Afghan scholar and prayer leader was on his way to mosque for offering Fajar prayer when unknown assailants started indiscriminate firing on him.
He died on the spot while the culprits managed to escape from the crime scene.
Police have registered the case of the incident and investigations are underway.
