Summer vacations announced in Islamabad's schools

Educational institutions to remain closed from June 10 to July 31 in federal capital, states notification

ISLAMABAD: The education authorities on Thursday announced summer vacations in schools, colleges and universities in the federal capital, starting from June 10.

A notification was issued in this regard, stating the federal capital’s educational institutions will remain closed from June 10 to July 31 on account of summer vacations.

Last month, the Punjab government had announced the annual summer vacations for public and private schools across the province.

The notification said that vacations will be observed from June 1 to August 14 in schools across the province.

Additionally, the Punjab government had also reduced school timings because of the intense temperatures being seen in multiple cities across the country.

The schools will open from 7am till 11:30 a from Monday till Thursday, while they will open at 7am to close at 10:30am on Fridays.

Moreover, the Sindh government had also notified the summer vacations for schools from June 1 to July 31.
