KP CM Gandapur vows to 'hang' violators of Constitution

Toning up his rhetoric against the Centre, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa's firebrand Chief Minister (CM) Ali Amin Gandapur pledged on Saturday to "hang" those who have violated the country’s Constitution.
“[I] swear to God, you will not be able to live in Pakistan, let alone Islamabad,” he said while addressing a public gathering in Swat.
“The constitution of Pakistan was violated. Those who break the constitution will be hanged,” the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI)-backed chief minister roared.
He asked those, who lodged “fake cases” against jailed PTI founder Imran Khan, to identify themselves.
Naming Punjab CM Maryam Nawaz, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and President Asif Zardari, the KP CM asked the crowd to name those responsible for the alleged victimisation of the embattled party.
“We will have to hold them accountable for each day. We are silent just because of the PTI founder,” he added.
He alleged that Pakistan was dismantled to “give power” to late prime minister Zulfikar Ali Bhutto. “Today, plots are being hatched again to break Pakistan.”
Addressing the rally, PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar Ali Khan concurred with Gandapur, saying the country couldn't be governed without the Constitution and law.
"What type of law it is that people are picked up from their homes," he said.
Gohar expressed optimism that the jailed PTI founder will soon be among his supporters.
Speaking at the rally, PTI leader Asad Qaiser said that the party founder would be out of jail if his trial in the cases held on merit.
"We did a clean sweep despite the PTI founder being jailed," Qaiser said while referring to the party's performance in the February 8 general elections.
The politician then called for providing rights to the people of the former federally administered areas.
