Mehfil e Mushaira organised in Plano

DALLAS: A Mushaira and dinner party was held from loving couple and prominent Christian Pakistani community leader of Dallas Fort Worth Javed Samuel and his wife Erum Javed at their residence in Plano.

Prominent personalities from different walk of life were invited including local poets from Dallas/Fort Worth.

After dinner, the Mushaira was started under the presidency of local poet Tariq Hashmi. Master of Ceremony was Noor Amrohvi while Dr. Amer Suleman was a special guest.

Noor Amrohvi conducted the Mushaira very nicely because he has special talent to organize and present any event very skillfully.

All renowned poets presented their 'Kalams' and got appreciations from the audience. Senior poets like Saeed Qureshi, Tariq Hashmi, Yunus Aijaz, Dr, Amer Suleman, Noor Amrohvi, Shah Alam, Farhan Syed, Javed Rasheed Rehmat Raza, 'kalams' were very tasteful and the audience showed their enthusiasm during the session.

Also female poetess Zohra Chishti who put the weight on all the poets and kept the 'mehfil' melodious with her beautiful recital of poems.

Poets kalam were appreciated by the audience frequently. Among the local poets Javed Rasheed also presented humorous poem.

It was surprising for audience that Mr Javed Samuel as a poet too, he is also has a music and singing talent. Dr. Harbans Lal, Emeritus Professor and Chair, Pharmacology & Neuroscience, U. North Texas Health Science Center, Siraj Butt, President of Karakoram Thinker Forum USA, Raja Zahid Khanzada and others were also present among other prominent personalities and friends of the Samuel family.

The beautiful Mushaira ended late at night everyone left this event having a remarkable New Year's Eve of 2013. Host Javed Samuel and Erum Javed also thanked every one who's attended their dinner and Mushaira.
