KARACHI: Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah Thursday called on Governor Sindh Dr Ishratul Ebad Khan at the Governor House amid fresh wave of violence in the metropolis.
A Governor House statement said that law and order, prevailing political situation in the province as well as the development works came under discussion.
The Governor and the Chief Minister took notice of the recent incidents of terrorism in the city and directed the law enforcement agencies to take action against those responsible without any distinction.
They stressed that those involved in such incidents do not deserve any leniency and they be brought to book.
The Governor and the CM reiterated the resolve that action against those involved in terrorist activities, would be geared up further.
They said that Karachi is the economic and commercial hub of the country and engine of its economic growth and as such restoration of peace here is of vital importance.
They directed the law enforcement agencies to utilise their best abilities for the restoration of peace in the metropolis.
They also urged the concerned officials that action against target killers, extortionists, kidnappers and dacoits be geared up further and the hideouts of the criminals be busted.
