On Friday, a suicide bomber blew himself up in Pat Bazaar when people were leaving the mosque following Friday prayers. 27 people were killed while several others injured as a result of explosion.
A day of mourning was announced in the district over the incident and all private and public academic institutes and business centres would remain closed.
