'This is nuts': internet reacts to extremely unusual pizza flavour

Who doesn't love pizza? They're pretty delicious, cheesy, oozy and can be topped with pretty much anything. However, that does not mean that everything you top your pizza with will taste good. 

Some people were left stunned by one very unusual flavour which was recently ordered by a woman at a pizza place, Daily Express reported.

The anonymous woman shared a snap of her pizza on Reddit, and simply said: "I ate a pistachio pizza."

The image showed a large and very green pizza covered with crushed pistachios and some other toppings. The pizza got people talking and asking the woman questions in the comment section.

One user asked: "what else is on it?"

The woman replied: "Herbed cream, scallion, pickled fresnos, pecorino, hot honey".

After she shared the nutty recipe, people seemed pretty divided about what to think as some are keen to try the unusual combination but others simply couldn't believe what they were seeing.

Another user also replied: "I had no idea pistachio was a pizza topping until my Italian colleague told me about a pizza he had in Sicily with pistachio."

One user said: "This is nuts".

When asked how it tasted and what the woman would rate it out of 10, she admitted it was pretty good, though she prefers savoury flavours usually.

Another user asked: "What would you rate this meal 0/10? Honestly sounds so good with the other ingredients you listed".

She replied: "Unique but much too sweet for my taste. I would not get again as I much prefer savory pies."
