After Apple unveiled a multitude of exciting new features for its iOS 18 update at the Worldwide Developers Conference last month, iPhone enthusiasts and tech reviewers using the beta version of the upcoming update have found it hard to put down their devices.

During its mega event in June, the phone-making giant announced Apple Intelligence which supports a host of new features across all operating systems.

Following the release of the public beta version for iOS 18, here are some features, according to 9to5Mac, that iPhone users can look forward to.

iPhone Mirroring

Although it may not sound as magical, but iPhone Mirroring in iOS 18 and macOS Sequoia is a remarkable feature which allows you to mirror your iPhone's display on your Mac.

Through this feature, when you get a notification on your iPhone, it also appears on your Mac. When you click the notification on your Mac, it instantly opens iPhone Mirroring and takes you directly to the app.

This feature works even if you don’t actively have iPhone Mirroring enabled. When you click the notification on your Mac, it will automatically connect to iPhone Mirroring.

It also has keyboard shortcuts. When using iPhone Mirroring on your Mac, press:

• CMD+1 to go to the Home Screen

• CMD+2 to open the app switcher

• CMD+3 to bring up Spotlight Search

Revamped Control Center

The upcoming update gives a completely new Control Center experience, giving you full control over the layout of Control Center, allowing you to customise it easily to your liking.

Notably, this includes the Home app. You can now have complete control over which HomeKit accessories show up in Control Center.

Improved Messages app

Apple has also introduced some notable improvements in the Messages app in its iOS 18.

Users can now use Tapbacks with any emoji and they can also use of scheduled send makes things a lot more convenient, especially for texting with people across vastly different time zones.

Nevertheless, the first Apple Intelligence features have yet to be rolled out and some of the more advanced features won’t be ready until next year.
