NAWABSHAH: Illegal weapons were recovered and 53 accused were arrested by police in different raids on hideouts of alleged outlaws.
Deputy Superintendent of Police (City) Abdul Qadir Samo talking to media said that police on secret information raided village Juma Bhangwar and recovered one Kalashnikov, 121 rounds, one repeater and 63 rounds.
Police arrested three alleged criminals Mir Muhammad Bhangwar, Sher Muhammad and Sikandar Ali Bhangwar from the scene.
DSP said that in another raid by A-Section Police, accused Mushtaque Ahmed Chandio was arrested and one car and 2100 grams Charas were recovered from his possession.
During raid the police also arrested accused Mukhtar Zardari and recovered 22 bags of raw wine and one motorcycle while it apprehended Sabir Zardari along with 6 cartons of wine and 106 bags of raw wine.
DSP Samo said that police also arrested four proclaimed offenders and recovered three pistols, one revolver, 32 grams Charas while a number of wanted accused were also arrested in other raids by police.
On the other hand police failed to recover Rs Two lac looted from journalist Raza Muhammad Khaskheli, Rs 3.5 lac snatched from Ahmed Ali Bhatti, trace culprits of Rs 10.5 million dacoity related to Seth Chaman Das, snatching of Rs 50,000 and motorcycle from Zafar Ali Arain and other crimes.
