The Pakistani passport has ranked the fourth worst in the world, as per the Henley Passport Index 2024.

The Global ranking company ranks a country's passport through the number of holders who can visit without a visa.

In its latest rankings, Pakistan’s passport stands at number 100 among 199 passports and 227 travel destinations. The county shares its position of the fourth weakest passport in the list with a war-torn middle eastern country, Yemen.

The rankings continue with Iraq, Syria and Afghanistan at the 101, 102 and 103 spots.

However, according to the index, the strongest passport holding country is Singapore.

As for the US, it has received a setback after improving its position in the index which was revealed in January this year.

The US was ranked seventh in January but according to the latest rankings, it has slipped back to eighth.

Meanwhile, France, Italy, Germany, Japan and Spain are ranked second in the world index whereas the third spot is being shared between Australia, Finland, Ireland, Netherland, Sweden and South Korea.

Pakistan’s neighbouring countries China, India and Iran are ranked at 82, 94 and 59 on the global rankings, respectively.
