NEW YORK: Flights resumed with delays at New York airports Saturday after a fierce blizzard passed.
"Airlines are expected to begin limited service this mornig, but all travelers should check with airlines carriers for flight status," the New York and New Jersey Port Authority said on Twitter.
John F. Kennedy International Airport, LaGuardia and Newark suspended all flights on Friday in response to the heavy snow and hurricane-strength wind gusts.
First passenger jets began arriving early Saturday, the Port Authority said. However, almost 2,000 flights were cancelled Saturday across the New England region amid continuing high winds and snow clearance operations.
Boston's Logan Airport was struggling to get back into action.
