James Gunn, the co-head of DC Studios, announced an exciting update about upcoming film Superman.

According to Variety, the filming of the super-hero film, starring David Corenswet, has been finished.

The news was shared by Gunn, who is also the director of the movie, on his Instagram account.

He took to the social media account and shared a picture of the movie cast and crew, with a detailed caption.

He informed his followers: ‘And that’s a wrap’. Indicating that the shooting has been finalized.

“God bless our cast and crew whose commitment, creativity, and hard work have brought this project to life,” the director wrote.

“I set out to make a movie about a good man in a world that isn’t always so much. And the goodness and kindness and love I’ve encountered on a daily basis on the set has inspired me and thrust me forward when I felt too spent to move on my own. Thank you all from the bottom of my heart. It has been an honor.”

“The destination has been Superman, but the journey has been the toil and the laughter and the emotions and ideas and magic we’ve shared together on set - and for that I am forever grateful.”

The film also stars Rachel Brosnahan, Nathan Fillion, Isabela Merced, Edi Gathegi, and Anthony Carrigan.

Superman is scheduled to be released theatrically on July 11, 2025. It is set to be the first film of the DCU's Chapter One: Gods and Monsters.
