WhatsApp is rolling out another interactive animated emojis feature using the Lottie library and it is in the beta testing process meaning it is only available to a few who update the application.

The latest feature is available in the Android 2.24.15.15 update which can be downloaded from the Google Play Store.

The new feature would allow the users of the application to make their messaging experience much more fun and expressive. As of now, it is being tested by those in the Android beta programme.

The animated emojis are designed using the Lottie framework and will be of high quality without affecting performance.

It is also worth noting that not all of the emojis on the app will have the animated option but only a few will be supported by animation. When used during messaging, only the emoji that has an animated version will appear as such when sent including the two laughing emojis and the red heart emoji.

To see which emojis have the animated effect and if the user has the feature in their app, they will have to send the emoji while chatting.

The emojis without the animated version will remain in their usual form when used. However, WhatsApp developers will probably add more animated emojis in the future using the Lottie library for the design.
