Google has been running an ad for US users related to the election campaign of former president and Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump.

According to NBC News, the somewhat astounding ad shows a young man lying in his bed and it is late at night. He then receives a text from someone saying, “Hey you need to vote,” and then shares with the man a video of the attempted assassination of Trump.

As the man watches Trump being rushed off stage with blood pouring down his face, he types in response “This is out of control. How do I start?”

The ad then shifts to a display of the America PAC website created by the CEO of Tesla Elon Musk.

The website will then display a “Register to Vote” option and the experience going forward from here will vary on where they live.

If the user lives in a state that is not a key or battleground state, they will have to enter their email address and zip code and then they will be directed to a voter registration page.

As for those who are residents of a battleground state, they will be directed to a page where they will have to enter their personal information form and if they opt to give all of that information and submit the form, then they will not be directed to a voter registration page but a “thank you” page.

According to AdImpact, over 800,000 dollars have been spent by America PAC since early July on digital ads appearing on Facebook, Instagram and Google through YouTube targeting voters in battleground states of Arizona, Michigan, Georgia, North Carolina, Nevada, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin.

As per NBC News, Brendan Fischer, a deputy executive director at the campaign finance watchdog, has stated that America PAC can use the data collected on other activities such as on fundraising campaigns proving to be a critical piece of information to make personal contact with the probable voters of Trump.

The political action committee has been created by Musk to give Republican Trump an insurmountable advantage over Vice President Kamala Harris in her presidential election bid.

“I have created a PAC, or a super PAC, the America PAC,” Musk stated in a recent interview given to Dr Jordan B Peterson

Musk is also the CEO of X — formerly known as Twitter — and owning a social media company as well as creating a PAC has made him a prominent political figure in the American presidential election.

Taking to his X account, Musk has also endorsed former president Trump and called him “tough” after the assassination attempt.

Musk’s support of Trump on his X account and his creation of America PAC poses the view of “voting for Trump over Harris is the only way out” to his 191 million followers on the social media company.
