The Pakistan High Commission in New Delhi on Wednesday celebrated the 77th Independence Day with great zeal and national fervour.

Saad Ahmad Warraich, Chargé d’ Affaires of Pakistan to India, hoisted the national flag at the Chancery Lawn during the impressive ceremony.

Warraich paid glowing tributes to the inspired vision of Allama Muhammad Iqbal and the dynamic leadership of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah in guiding the Muslims of the subcontinent towards their ordained destiny of a separate homeland of their own.

Moreover, he also expressed the conviction that the dynamic and enterprising youth of Pakistan will script the nation's path towards greater progress and prosperity while noting the impressive strides made by Pakistan across all spheres.

Notably, officers and staff of the High Commission along with their families were also present on the occasion.

The ceremony was also marked by national songs and passionate speeches by the children as the attendees honoured them with big applause.

The country’s High Commission in New Delhi is a diplomatic mission representing the nation of the Islamic Republic. 

The celebrations of Pakistan’s 77th Independence Day dawned with a 31-gun salute in the federal capital and a 21-gun salute in the provincial headquarters. Moreover, special prayers were offered in mosques for peace, solidarity and prosperity of the country.
