Faisal Raza meets Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, withdraws Senate resignation

ISLAMABAD: Faisal Reza Abidi met PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari here on Friday. During the meeting, Abidi withdrew his resignation from the Senate and expressed full confidence in the party leadership.

Faisal Raza Abidi had tendered his resignation from the Senate to the PPP Chairman in January this year. According to sources, differences had emerged between Abidi and the party leadership following remarks made by the Senator regarding Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhamamd Chaudhry.

Abidi also served as the President of the PPP Karachi division but also resigned from this post.
