According to police, the Punjab government had issued directives to take Ishaq into custody, following which he was taken into police custody from his residence in Rahim Yar Khan.
Prior to being taken into police custody, Ishaq at a news conference said he had no involvement in the Quetta bombing or any other incidents. Ishaq added that he would challenge his arrest in court.
