Meta-owned application WhatsApp is developing a new feature by the name of "mark all chats as read" to facilitate clearing of the unread messages count and will be available to the users in the future updates.

The Meta app is designing the new option in order to assist users in managing their chat experience more conveniently and providing the feature to automatically retain or rest unread message notifications every time they open the app in the future.

The update known as the latest WhatsApp beta for Android 2.24.28.11 is currently under development and is scheduled for release in the future app update, which can be installed from the Google Play Store.

Permitting users to easily clear unread chats in one action, the new feature will be added to the overflow menu within the chats list.

According to WABetaInfo, this new option can eventually assist users to manage their chats with ease as well as maintain a clutter-free interface, especially when they have several unread chats accumulating.
